Cognitive assessment & rehabilitation

Cognitive rehabilitation involves assessment of a range of cognitive abilities that support everyday activities including:

  • Attention
  • Insight
  • Memory
  • Executive Functioning

The process involves either a restorative approach targeting the actual impairment or an adaptive approach with focus on the activities and occupations that are causing the individual difficulty. Therapy can involve teaching new techniques, changing the activity or manipulation the environment to provide a more supportive role.
