Nikita
Exercise Physiologist

I am an Accredited Clinical Exercise Physiologist who has a passion in making a positive difference in people’s everyday lives and general wellbeing. I focus on a client-centred approach by incorporating exercise and movement to allow people to remain as independent as possible while also achieving their goals.
Areas of Expertise
Functional exercise programs: Working with participants in home and community creating exercise programs for achieving meaningful goals, building connections, and enhancing quality of life.
Neurological Rehabilitation: Includes interventions for acquired brain injuries such as traumatic brain injury and stroke, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, motor neuron disease, Huntington’s disease, and other rare neurological conditions.
Musculoskeletal rehabilitation: Includes exercise interventions from post-acute to chronic care, pre- and post-surgical exercise and wellbeing intervention, chronic pain management strategies and return to social, leisure, community, and sport integration.
Approach to Therapy
My approach to therapy is to ensure clients leave their appointment with something to consider, learn about, or work on until their next appointment. My exercise prescription is individualised based on the client’s current needs, challenges and goals that may focus on fall prevention, building muscular strength or helping reduce pain.
Outside the Clinic
I am originally from Cairns who decided to move down to the coast to enjoy the beautiful beaches and sunshine. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy exercise myself, as well as reading and exploring the new city.
