Rebekah Tunstall
Occupational Therapist

I am a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist with experience in adult rehabilitation and a particular interest in neurological conditions. I am enthusiastic about supporting individuals to regain their independence and improve their ability to engage in daily life and meaningful activities.
Areas of Expertise
- Functional Skills Retraining: Working collaboratively with individuals to identify what activities they would like to improve their capacity and independence. Therapeutic interventions includes therapy, assistive technology and home modifications to help individuals to regain or improve their participation in meaningful and everyday activities necessary for independent living (i.e., dressing, cooking, use of public transport).
- Upper Limb therapy: Assessment of upper limb function to determine current abilities and intervention to maintain and restore strength, movement and feeling to optimise functional use of the hand and arm.
- Cognitive Rehabilitation: Therapy aimed to improve an individual’s cognitive function (i.e., attention, memory, problem solving) following an injury or illness that affects this brain. Therapy may include restorative and/or compensatory techniques.
Approach to Therapy
My approach to therapy is client-centred and holistic. I strive to create a supportive and reassuring environment for my clients by actively listening to each client’s unique goals, preferences, and challenges, ensuring their voice is at the core of the therapy process. I am passionate collaborating with clients and empowering them to make informed decisions about their therapy.
Outside the Clinic
Outside of the clinic I enjoy spending time outdoors by going to beach and camping with friends. I also like staying active by regularly attending Pilates classes and going on walks outdoors.
