I am an Occupational Therapist passionate about supporting individuals to enhance their quality of life through maximising independence, working towards goals and participating in meaningful activities. I am excited to begin my career in the community, where I can provide highly personalised therapy that is directly relevant to daily activities in the home, workplace or within the local community.

  • Assistive Technology: Assessment and prescription of simple and complex assistive technology devices to improve participation, independence and quality of life. This involves gaining an understanding of the individual’s needs to identify and completion of trials to determine the best assistive technology solution, completion of documentation to obtain funds to purchase (as appropriate to each funding body), and training and support to ensure effective use.
  • Home Modifications: Assessment and recommendations for environmental modifications (structural, layout or design) to enhance accessibility for people to live safely and independently in their home.
  • Pressure Care: Education and management strategies to maintain skin integrity and prevent/improve existing pressure injuries through prescription of pressure redistribution equipment and review of functional abilities, transfers, posture and other assistive technology.

My approach to occupational therapy is holistic, with a person-centred and directed focus. This involves collaboration with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive care plan. I strive to build strong, therapeutic relationships with my clients, helping them set and achieve meaningful goals while identifying challenges and celebrating strengths. I aim to empower individuals to maintain and promote independence to participate in daily and meaningful activities of life.

I love to spend my spare time at the beach surfing with friends, reading a book or playing the piano. I also enjoy hiking and exploring the beautiful hinterlands and coastal areas of the Sunshine Coast.
